In this course students will gain hands-on practice performing administrative tasks common to specialty offices. Through the use of practice management software students will work through specialty-office simulations including patient registration, triage, scheduling, OHIP insured and uninsured OHIP billing, with a focus on the transcription, creation, and maintenance of associated documents in the specialty office electronic medical record (EMR).
