About the program

Step into leadership in paramedic services. If you're a paramedic looking to move into a leadership role, this program is designed for you. It builds on your existing skills and experience and helps you develop the confidence and capability needed to lead in your field.

Throughout the program, you'll explore real-world challenges and learn practical strategies to address them. Critical thinking is integrated throughout the curriculum, supporting sound decision-making under pressure and helping you adapt to complex situations with confidence.

Along with leadership and operational skills, the program covers key aspects of employment law as it applies to managing people in a paramedic service environment. You'll gain a practical understanding of legal responsibilities and how to navigate them effectively as a leader.

By the end of the program, you'll be equipped with a well-rounded set of leadership tools you can apply immediately in your current role or use to take the next step in your career.

All courses must be completed within 5 years of acceptance into the program.

Admission requirements

  • Current Advanced Emergency Medical Care Attendant (A-EMCA) certificate or equivalent
