The Volunteer Management Foundations course equips students with the skills and knowledge to effectively engage, lead, and support volunteers. This course focuses on the changing landscapes of volunteerism, the critical role of volunteer managers, and the ethical considerations involved. Participants will explore professional competencies, program planning, evaluation, risk management, and policies relevant to volunteer involvement. By the end of this course, students will be well-prepared to create and sustain successful volunteer programs within organizations. The course incorporates the Canadian Code for Volunteer Involvement and VMPC professional standards.
