Course description

This course will begin with a review of the reasons why a comprehensive and integrated health and safety program (beyond compliance with regulatory standards) is of benefit to workplaces. It will cover the principles in the development and monitoring of a workplace health and safety program by following the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) model when designing, implementing, monitoring, or continuously improving the OHS Management System (OHSMS). The course will also include how to engage key stakeholders in each of these stages to ensure success. This course covers all the elements of the OHS management system (OHSMS) standards commonly applied in Canada.
