Course description

This course introduces human resources (HR) professionals to the broad, ever-changing field of occupational health and safety (OHS). Through a variety of learning methods, the Occupational Health and Safety Act will be examined to develop a solid understanding of legislation as well as health and safety issues and programs. Extensive study of the Occupational Health and Safety Act is featured in this course. The importance of proactive health and safety strategies and the promotion of employee health and wellbeing including mental health in the workplace will also be discussed.
