Course description

This training course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to perform venipuncture safely and effectively. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on practice, students will learn venous anatomy, proper blood collection techniques, patient communication, and infection control protocols. Please note that some employers may require additional qualifications or certifications beyond this course. This course is intended for regulated health care professionals; including Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Paramedics, Laboratory Technicians, Cardiac Sonographers, and Respiratory Therapists, as well as students enrolled in health care programs that prepare them for careers involving intravenous insertion and venipuncture.
