About the program

This program is designed to enhance software application skills, which is essential in today's competitive workplace. Study an overview of the Microsoft Office Suite of software, followed by separate study segments of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and an integration course that allows you to integrate the different applications.

Program information

All courses must be completed within 5 years of acceptance into the program.

Admission requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, OR 19 years of age or older.

Note re: admission requirements

  • Students must be able to receive instruction, respond and research in the English language.

  • Apply file and system management practices and techniques specific to the Windows operating system.
  • Use and customize Windows to navigate the desktop and manage files and folders.
  • Use Word to create, format, print and save professional documents.
  • Use Excel to create, format, link, customize, print and save spreadsheets.
  • Create a database using Access.
  • Create and customize presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Create professional reports with the integration of various applications.
