This micro-credential is intended for anyone looking for a well-rounded introduction to fiction writing. Students will explore the elements of a successful manuscript, learn the secrets to engaging plots, characters, and settings. They will also explore techniques for boosting creativity and quality in a writing or planning session. Students will be encouraged to find and develop their own individual authorial style. Finally, students will review considerations for the editing, review, and publishing process. All courses are delivered asynchronously through our partnership with ed2go and must be completed through Conestoga College in order to be eligible.
Awarded by the Registrar's Office to those who have successfully completed a defined list of related courses that focus on a specific competency. Typically less than 136 hours and include assessment. The quality criteria are determined by the college.
