This course deals with the systematic study of groups and societies. The focus is on the analysis of Canadian social institutions and the social processes that impact upon our everyday lives. A major emphasis will be placed on the pluralistic nature of Canadian society. Current data is drawn upon to convey the fundamental principles and concepts of sociology in a framework that is relevant to the Canadian student.
