This course will study the history of photography from its inception, including both technological and artistic innovations in Canada and around the world. The course will also provide an overview of Art History, concentrating on the period from the Old Masters through to modern times, and has a focus on how this has impacted photography in Canada. Students will relate the posing, lighting, and composition of artists to photographic techniques.
