This course explores creating a healthy and safe workplace in the agri-business environment through the interpretation and application of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related legislation, including WHMIS/GHS. Students will identify common workplace hazards, assess risks, and select appropriate control measures. Additional prevention programs will be explored including incident investigations, worker training and emergency planning.
