Course description

This course provides an overview of nervous system anatomy and physiology, neurological assessment and diagnostics, and the medical and nursing management of a variety of neurological disorders in critical care. In addition, legal and ethical issues commonly encountered in neurological nursing will be explored. The care of clients undergoing neurosurgery will be briefly reviewed. Associated pharmacological interventions will be explored.
