Course description

This course will provide the student with the knowledge and skills working with individuals and families from preconception through pregnancy and the core competencies to care for the expectant person as they adapt to emotional and physiological changes of pregnancy including health challenges. A focus on health promotion and prevention will be discussed. The members of the health care team supporting individuals and families will be explored.
