Course description

Financial management in not-for-profit organizations can be complex and demanding. In this course, students are provided with the tools needed to improve their financial literacy. Learn what is needed to have an organization perform with transparency and financial accountability and consider the balance between mission and money. Develop a financial forecast using best practices on how to run a successful budget. Understand how to read and analyze financial statements and how to use financial data in contained in those reports to assess performance. Build awareness around compliance issues specific to not-for-profit organizations.
