Course description

Students will be introduced to the role and responsibilities of a legal assistant employed in the field of family law in Ontario. Specialized terminology and statutes relevant to the practice of family law will be introduced. Emphasis will be placed on following appropriate procedures in the production of documentation. In addition to word processing software, students are introduced to current industry-related software to maintain client data and general legal documentation.
