Course description

An on-ongoing concern for municipalities is liability, it can be unpredictable. Liability resulting from negligent act or noncompliance with statutes can be extremely expensive and take many years to resolve. The purpose of this course is to introduce participants to various statutes and case law that govern some vital municipal services. Claims examples are used throughout to illustrate how quickly claims can occur, why they occur and the subsequent litigation process.
