Course description

This course examines media and culture in the Hispanic world in order to understand the cultural, political and economic activities that shape and are shaped by its inhabitants. A variety of topics will be covered to offer a cross-section of Spanish-speaking society. Students will also develop their written and spoken Spanish through a critical observation of Spanish media. The course is taught entirely in Spanish. It is strongly recommended that students have completed LANG1140 Spanish IV before taking this course.
