Course description

This Fluid Power Course is a combination of hydraulics and pneumatics theory. This online course will review fluid power systems and safety. During the course, students will learn diagnostics and troubleshooting of fluid power systems. Safe operations including lockout/tagout practices will be emphasized. Students will gain knowledge of the physical principles of hydraulic fluids, compressed air, controls, and basic electricity. Students will learn about the ways in which fluids are used in the industry to control or perform certain tasks. Also included are operation and application of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components, standard symbols, working elements, directional control valves, pressure and flow control valves, basic logic circuits, pressure sequence valve, relays, electrical switches, sensors, etc.
