This course is the first of two Gas Technician 3 courses that must be successfully completed to be eligible to write the TSSA G3 examination. If you want to work on residential, commercial or industrial gas-fired equipment, this course complies with training curriculum from the Gas Technician III certification and is delivered in compliance with TSSA regulations for G3 certification. Students in this course will learn safety, hand tools, and the properties, characteristics and safe handling of propane and natural gas. This course will also cover the current C.S.A B149-1 and B149-2 codes, acts and regulations and students will learn how to access information from the clauses and tables. Individuals with a G3 certification work under supervision on appliances up to and including 400,000 BTUs. NOTE: Students who have completed Part 1 & 2 of the G3 training, and maintained a 75% average, along with completing all practical labs, will be eligible to write the TSSA certification exam.
Classroom Delivery: In-person instruction that takes place at a college campus.
Online Delivery: Content is delivered entirely online through self-directed components, allowing you the flexibility to learn anytime from wherever you are.
Remote Delivery: Technology-enabled virtual instruction that takes place outside of a physical classroom. Remote delivery includes some form of scheduled real-time virtual classes or drop-in times, as well as self-directed components.
Hybrid Delivery: Instruction that includes a combination of online or remote delivery, and some classroom activities.
