This course serves as a bridge to Biotechnology Technician diploma graduates who are beginning Conestoga's Bachelor of Environmental Public Health degree program. The course will enable students to use professional communication skills through the review of the fundamentals of public health practice, communication practices, etiquette, personal awareness and group dynamics. Students will also demonstrate the ability to analyze public health research, develop a research proposal and select research to explore an environmental public health issue. Finally, students will develop strong personal awareness, interprofessional communication and conflict management skills.
