Course description

This course introduces the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and World Wide Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 guidelines. Students will learn how the WCAG guidelines apply to documents. Students will also be exposed to assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard only navigation and learn how these tools are used by those with disabilities. Students will be given the opportunity to experience the barriers faced by individuals with a disability when trying to use non-accessible content.
