This course explores the practice of active learning in the diverse post-secondary classroom and its relationship to the assessment of learning. Participants review active learning frameworks and lesson planning to explore how active learning strategies can support students from various backgrounds and discuss ways of providing students authentic, valid and reliable opportunities to demonstrate their learning of the course outcomes.
