Through hands-on exercises, you will discover the benefits of using free web tools like Blogger, WordPress, Audacity, and YouTube. Learn how to develop a plan for the content, setup, maintenance, and how to use free blogging software like Blogger and WordPress to put that plan into action. Explore how to record a professional-sounding audio podcast with a simple recording tool. Learn to edit the file with another free software program, add music to it, and then post it online. Discover how to record a video podcast, edit it, add special effects, drop in a podcasting-safe music file, and then publish it online.

These 6-week online courses are designed for working professionals and those seeking personal advancement. From the start date, students have access to their courses 24/7. There are no live lectures or specific days and times students must be logged in. Each Wednesday and Friday, the instructor releases a lesson, for a total of 12. There is a 2-week period at the end of the course to complete the final exam.
