Course description

The course is intended to bridge the gap in students’ knowledge between law and international law as part of a typical 3 year business diploma program. The focus is on the international aspects of the law that students should be aware of when dealing with individuals from other countries. Students will explore the various international legal systems which can affect Canadian business. They will compare and contrast the Canadian legal system to those of major trading partners and will weigh the role and effectiveness of international law in an increasingly global society.
