Climate change is more than just an environmental challenge. In this course, the social, health, economic, justice and other impacts of climate change will be explored. Important global groups and initiatives that are working in this space will be introduced, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Sustainable Development Goals and othes. The course also outlines the strategies needed for each major source of emissions and highlights how climate action is also an opportunity to build a better society.
