AgTech is any innovation used across the value chain to improve efficiency, profitability, and/or sustainability. It includes hardware, software, business models, new technologies and new applications i.e. data analysis, data analytics, robots, temperature and moisture sensors, aerial images, GPS technology. These reduce or eliminate the negative global environment impact of agriculture by reducing the fossil fuel, fertilizer, water, and land requirements for food production.
