This course will provide students with an introductory understanding of pests in relation to agricultural practices. Principles of prevention, cultural, physical, biological, and chemical control will be outlined. Laboratories will include pest identification and pest control methods for various crops. Students will study concepts and principles from the Grower Pesticide Safety Course and will be aptly prepared to write the Grower Pesticide Safety Exam upon completion of this course.
