Course description

Using dictated material and digital transcription software, students develop knowledge of legal terminology and proficiency in language literacy to develop skills in transcribing correspondence and legal documents. The transcription material is designed to capture a general law office practice in operation. Students also develop composition and oral communication skills in response to law office simulations. Emphasis is placed on the structure of business communication and the rules of grammar.
