About the program

The Professional Selling Process program offers sales professionals the opportunity to learn the natural progression of the selling process in terms of the level of complexity and skill. Students will learn the guiding principles of the professional selling process. Join one of Canada's top seven most in-demand, future proof jobs, in the sales profession!

Program information

All courses must be successfully completed within 3 years of acceptance into the program.

Admission requirements

  • A two- or three-year diploma or a degree from an accredited college or university.
Or
  • Relevant work experience in the area of business development and sales.
  • Minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, with no band lower than 6 (This is consistent with other graduate certificates)

Admission procedures

  • Submit a completed a Conestoga College Program Application form
  • Attach proof of Admission Requirements
  • Final Selection is made following an assessment of the admission requirements

Program outcomes

  • Apply best practices in the professional selling process including: prospecting, needs analysis, development of Features Advantages and Benefits (FABs) for optimal value creation, overcoming objections, handling negotiations, and closing the sale.
  • Demonstrate successful business-to-business sales presentation techniques that are useful in a professional work environment.
  • Evaluate results of business-to-business marketing activities using criteria related to forecast sales, costs, profits and other identified objectives.
  • Conceptualize, develop and implement a sales plan to support business-to-business marketing activity.
