About the program

The Sage 300 Essentials, Certificate of Achievement, supports the professional development of individuals who currently need to learn how to use Sage 300 software. Students learn software features, helpful shortcuts and useful tips from Sage 300 experts. As part of their learning activities, students will create a company in a Sage 300 environment with a chart of accounts and financial reports. Students will also learn to prepare and process payroll data and transactions, examine ledger setup, add vendor accounts, daily transactions and perform periodic processing. Graduates will be confident to organize the accounting of their own small business or work efficiently as a supporting member of an accounting team in small or large companies. Since the focus of the program is how to use Sage 300 software, students need a foundational understanding (formal education preferred) of accounting principles and Word and Excel before starting this program.
