Graduates of this program will be positioned for careers that focus on managing the quality of the supply chain. Students will learn the importance of prevention vs. detection with production part approval processes (PPAP), and how to assess supplier capability to ensure long term quality of supplied parts. Students will learn how to interpret technical drawings and identify key features warranting ongoing statistical sampling and measurement in accordance with QMS, as well as Lean methods to identify and improve recurring process issues.
Awarded by the Registrar's Office to those who have successfully completed a defined list of related courses that focus on a specific competency. Typically less than 136 hours and include assessment. The quality criteria are determined by the college.
