This program is designed for students who want to develop and enhance leadership competencies in communications and change management. Despite the often-heard phrase that ‘change is hard,’ health care is always evolving and improving. In these courses, students will investigate change management frameworks and techniques to support staff, patients/clients and systems in embracing change. Students will also develop and practice skills with internal and external communication methods needed for employee engagement, critical conversations, presentations, and broader community awareness. Upon completion of the 2 courses, students will receive a Recognition of Professional Development from Conestoga College. These courses also form part of the Healthcare Administration Management Post Graduate Certificate Program.
Awarded by the Registrar's Office to those who have successfully completed a defined list of related courses or workshops that focus on a specific discipline. Typically less than 136 hours and may or may not include formal assessment. The criteria are determined by the college.
