This program is designed for students who want to develop and enhance leadership competencies in communications and change management. Despite the often-heard phrase that ‘change is hard,’ health care is always evolving and improving. In these courses, students will investigate change management frameworks and techniques to support staff, patients/clients and systems in embracing change. Students will also develop and practice skills with internal and external communication methods needed for employee engagement, critical conversations, presentations, and broader community awareness. These courses also form part of the Healthcare Administration Management Post-Graduate Certificate Program.
Awarded by the Registrar's Office to those who have successfully completed a defined list of related courses that focus on a specific competency. Typically less than 136 hours and include assessment. The quality criteria are determined by the college.
