Course description

Cancer supportive therapies and symptom management within the RPN scope of practice include skin barriers, immune suppressions, oral mucous membranes, altered functioning, teaching, palliation, care giving by family, ethics, breathing problems, sleep disorders, nausea and vomiting. Ethical issues in oncologic nursing and the role of teaching the patient and family within the scope of the practical nurse are discussed.
