Course description

In this capstone course students learn to identify cost areas in products and services. They will also practice innovative thinking to develop cost reduction ideas which will add value to the product while maintaining or improving quality and reliability. This capstone course requires the student to apply most of the subjects taught in all three years, particularly Purchasing, Accounting, Costing, Project Management, Manufacturing Processes, and Print Interpretation.Students who successfully complete this course and OPER3210 Lean Concepts and Continuous Improvement may qualify for Six Sigma Yellow belt certification.
