Course description

This course explores the impact of managerial decision making on operational effectiveness. Topics included are typical of challenges faced by line managers including operational planning, quality management and process redesign. Students will become familiar with the environmental factors that affect health care operations and determine the impact on organizational resources. The process of critical thinking and decision-making is examined and applied to management and leadership problems in health care.
