Course description

This course offers knowledge in the disease process and clinical management of diabetes. Students will learn the treatment and management of different types of diabetes in relation to symptoms, physical activity, medication, nutrition and self-monitoring blood glucose. Self-management approaches to wellness will be introduced. Studies will focus on the promotion of healthy lifestyle changes to aid in the prevention and management of diabetes.
