Course description

Essential institutional security duties are described and practiced in this course. These include duties related to key control, institutional counts, post-security, personal and area searches, inmate escorts, inmate movement control, inmate segregation, control of contraband, admitting and discharge, visits and correspondence, inventory control, transportation and medications. Students are introduced to the techniques involved in writing security reports that meet institutional standards.
