An understanding of spreadsheets is an invaluable tool in today’s human resource management profession. Being able to control and manipulate data is a major requirement by all employers. A successful human resource professional must be able to utilize an existing worksheet by charting, sorting, and developing what-if-scenarios in order to remain current with today’s industry standard. This course will provide an understanding and the fundamental principles of a Microsoft Excel as applied to human resource management related problems. A series of assignments leads the student through the critical issues of spreadsheet-based database design, and demonstrates the potential needs which computers have in this field.
