Course description

Hydraulic power is defined as the generation, control and application of smooth, effective power of pumped fluids such as oil in order to push, pull, rotate, regulate or drive the machines, equipment and appliances of modern life. In this course, students will gain familiarity with the physical principles relating to hydraulics. They will gain the basic skills for the disassembly, inspection, diagnosis and application of corrective steps for repair of assemblies of a variety of hydraulic components such as cylinders, valves and pumps.
