This Canadian Red Cross course is designed for First Aid personnel in the workplace and the general public. This interactive course includes injury preventions and hands on care in life-threatening situations including: choking skills, single rescuer CPR techniques for adults, introduction to AED’s, bag-valve masks, prevention of disease transmission and treatment of severe bleeding. Theory based information includes soft tissue injuries, head and spine injuries, sudden medical emergencies and poisoning. Upon successful completion, a 3 year certificate from the Canadian Red Cross will be issued.
Not all courses are offered each term.
Spring 2021 registration opens February 1, 2021. Fall 2021 registration opens July 5, 2021.
