This self-arranged unpaid educational placement is designed to assist students to integrate the knowledge, skills and abilities they are developing related to correctional theory and practice with an exploration of human services for people with complex issues that may vary across the lifespan. Possible options are: programs at correctional institutions; community corrections agencies; mental health agencies or hospitals; substance abuse treatment facilities; seniors' residences; community centres serving at risk populations; and youth related facilities. Those students who are currently working full or part-time in corrections may apply to have their work experience fulfill this program requirement.
