Course description

Most environmental consulting firms and environmental contractors require field personnel to receive health and safety training. This course provides comprehensive health and safety training for work on hazardous waste sites. The training will be provided by a qualified instructor and will meet OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 40 hours training requirements.The course will identify the nature of various hazards on these sites including chemical exposure, fire and explosion, oxygen deficiency, biological, physical and electrical hazards, heat stress, exposure and noise. The student will be instructed in site control, safe work practices, decontamination procedures, site emergencies and response procedures. Training will be provided in the use of field monitoring equipment and personal protective equipment.
