Course description

This course is designed to provide the student with practical skills for creating and manipulating digital illustrations using Illustrator. Geared towards those with limited experience in the field of computer graphics, this course will take students from the basics through to a broad understanding of the techniques and tools available to the Illustrator user. Specific topics include: navigating the Illustrator environment; digital drawing tools; using colour in illustration; gradients, meshes, and blends; designing with text; as well as preparing compositions for export to the Web and printing.
