Course description

This course focuses on advanced IP addressing techniques (Network Address Translation, Port Address Translation and DHCP), WAN technology and terminology such as PPP, ISDN, DDR, Frame Relay, Network Management and an introduction to optical networking. Network design and implementation will be discussed with an emphasis on network security and reliability. The theoretical concepts will be reinforced with extensive hands-on exercises.
