Course description

This course gives motorists instruction in a wide range of general automotive maintenance topics, ranging from planning your maintenance to deciphering upselling at service centres, diagnosing simple repairs and planning whether to repair or replace your vehicle. Hands-on shop activities include boosting and replacing a battery, tire pressure and tread wear checks, removing a wheel with a flat tire and installing the spare tire, changing light bulbs, wiper blades, fuses and more. NOTE: Students must provide their own safety shoes/boots and glasses required to work in the shops.
