Course description

In this introductory medical transcription course, students will extend their healthcare terminology skills to produce error-free patient reports. By building and applying skills in keyboarding, MS Word, English language usage, healthcare terminology, and attention to detail, students will learn to comprehend, proofread, edit and transcribe patient reports. Topics include voice-recognition software, and general and specialty-specific formatting guidelines for a variety of medical reports.
